CBSE Class 12 revaluation results: When will remaining students get their marksheet?

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is yet to announce the remaining Class 12 revaluation and verification results, leaving many students anxiously waiting as college admission deadlines draw closer. On June 21, the board released the first phase of the results, declaring outcomes for more than 87 per cent of the applications received. However, the remaining students are still awaiting their revised marks. In a statement, CBSE said the pending results will be released in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon.“CBSE has commenced the release of Class XII Verification of issues observed and Re-evaluation outcomes. The outcomes are being released in a phased manner, with over 87% of the total applications received being declared today. The outcomes of the remaining applications will be made available in phases and the entire process is expected to be completed soon,” the board said.Meanwhile, many students and parents have been expressing concern online over the delay. One parent wrote to the board, saying, “Dear CBSE, We have still not received the revaluation result. The delay is affecting my son’s college admission process, and we are concerned that it may impact his enrollment. I kindly request you to expedite the release of the revaluation result.”The wait comes after CBSE’s re-evaluation process drew attention earlier this month, when some students raised concerns over the Online Scanned Marking (OSM) system and alleged that the scanned copies of answer sheets did not match their handwriting.

When will CBSE refund the re-evaluation fee?

CBSE has not announced a specific date for refunding re-evaluation and verification fees. However, the board had earlier said that refunds will be processed after the declaration of all revaluation results.Students who are eligible for a refund, including cases involving excess or duplicate payments, will receive the amount in the original source account, according to the board’s earlier notification. CBSE had introduced a revised fee strcuture this year following allegations of discrepencies in copy checking. Students had to to pay Rs 100 to access scanned copies of their answer scripts and another Rs 100 for verification of marks. Correction requests costed Rs 25 per question. Earlier, students had to pay Rs 700 to access answer sheets, Rs 500 for verification of marks, and Rs 100 for every question challenged. The board has also decided to refund the entire fee paid by a student if marks increase after the re-evaluation or verification process. “We have decided that if, during the scrutiny process, a student’s marks increase or are revised upwards, we will refund the entire amount paid by them for the re-evaluation,” it said.
