The possibility of Yatra, the elder son of actor-filmmaker Dhanush, making his acting debut has once again become a major talking point in the Tamil film industry. While there has been no official confirmation from the actor or his team, fresh reports have sparked widespread discussion among cinephiles. According to reports, a new project featuring Yatra in the lead role is currently being planned.
Reports hint at a launch vehicle
Recent reports from Gulte suggest that Yatra could soon step into acting with a film backed by Dhanush himself. The project is said to be taking shape behind the scenes, although the makers have yet to make any formal announcement. Reports indicate that filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy has been linked to the venture. The director is reportedly being considered to helm the film. Composer GV Prakash Kumar is also reportedly associated with the project.Reports further claim that preliminary preparations have already begun. Several aspects of the production are believed to be progressing quietly ahead of a possible launch event. Speaking during the promotional event of ‘Kara’, the actor addressed reports about his son’s possible entry into cinema. At the time, he suggested that discussions about Yatra’s career were still premature. Dhanush said, “I came into acting at the age of 16 because of my circumstances. He is just 19 now, and I still see him as a kid. I don’t know what he will become yet, it’s too early to say.”
Yatra has already entered cinema
Although Yatra has not appeared as an actor yet, he has already taken his first step into the film industry. He previously worked as a lyricist in Dhanush’s directorial venture ‘Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam’. The project marked his first official creative contribution to a feature film. The romantic drama received varied responses from critics and viewers.Meanwhile, Dhanush continues to remain busy with multiple commitments as an actor, director and producer. He was most recently seen in the heist thriller ‘Kara’.
