DU PG admission 2026: Delhi University revises third round admission schedule, seat acceptance ends July 13
Delhi University has revised the third-round CSAS-PG 2026 admission schedule due to delays in supernumerary quota allocations. Candidates must complete seat acceptance, document verification and fee payment according to the updated deadlines, while the university has also kept the possibility of further allocation rounds open if seats remain vacant.

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced a change in the timetable of postgraduate admissions for the third round for the academic year 2026-27, announcing new dates for accepting the seats, verifying documents, and payment of fees in the Common Seat Allocation System for Postgraduate programmes (CSAS-PG).The new calendar of admission for DU has been issued by the university on its admission portal on Saturday, July 12, as the process of seat allocation was delayed for the applicants seeking admission under CW, Sports, and Ward category of the supernumerary quota. The university has warned all the selected candidates to follow the new deadlines carefully.

Candidates must accept allotted seats by July 13

As per the revised schedule, candidates who have been allotted seats in the third round must accept their allocation by 11:59 PM on July 13, 2026 through the official admission portal.Once candidates accept their seats, the concerned departments, centres and colleges will verify and approve the submitted applications. The verification process will continue until 11:59 PM on July 14, 2026.Candidates whose admissions are approved will then have to complete the online fee payment by 11:59 PM on July 15, 2026 to confirm their admission.

Delay linked to Supernumerary Quota Allocation

Delhi University said the revised schedule became necessary because the allocation process for the CW, Sports and Ward supernumerary quota admissions could not be completed on time.The university issued the updated calendar to ensure that admissions under all categories proceed in a coordinated manner without affecting eligible candidates.

More admission rounds likely

The university has also indicated that additional rounds of postgraduate seat allocation may be announced if vacancies remain after the completion of the third round.Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official DU admissions portal for further announcements regarding vacant seats, additional allocation rounds and counselling-related updates.

DU UG admissions also underway

Alongside postgraduate admissions, Delhi University is continuing the undergraduate admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for the 2026-27 academic session.According to data released by the university, more than 1.90 lakh candidates have registered for undergraduate admissions, while 1,64,098 applicants have completed Phase 2 by submitting their programme and college preferences.Admissions are being conducted for 71,624 undergraduate seats across more than 73 programmes offered by 69 colleges and departments.
