The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has started the registration process for Class 10 and Class 12 compartment and improvement examinations 2026. Eligible students can apply through the official website of HPBOSE at hpbose.org.According to the official notification, students can submit their application forms without paying a late fee till June 1, 2026. After this date, candidates will have to pay a late fee of ₹1000. The board will accept applications with late fee only till June 5, 2026.The compartment examinations will be held in June and July 2026.

Who can apply for the exams
The compartment examination is meant for students who could not clear one or more subjects in the annual board examinations.The improvement examination is for students who want to improve their marks in selected subjects. HPBOSE has advised students to fill in the application form carefully and check all details before the final submission.
HPBOSE Class 10 compartment and improvement exam fee details
For Class 10 compartment examination, students will have to pay ₹700 per subject. The same fee will apply for the essential improvement category. Students applying for optional improvement in one or up to three compulsory subjects will have to pay ₹950.For one additional subject, the fee has been fixed at ₹700. The last date to apply without late fee is June 1, 2026, while applications with a late fee of ₹1000 will be accepted till June 5, 2026.
HPBOSE Class 12 compartment and improvement exam fee details
For Plus Two compartment and English-only examination, the application fee is ₹700. Students applying for improvement of performance in one or more subjects will have to pay ₹1150.Diploma holder re-appear candidates will also have to pay ₹700. For one additional subject, the fee has been fixed at ₹700.The deadline to apply without late fee is June 1, 2026. Candidates can submit forms with a late fee of ₹1000 till June 5, 2026.
Date sheet and admit cards to be released soon
