HPBOSE Supplementary Exam 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has begun the Matric and Class 12 supplementary examinations from July 3, 2026. The examinations are being conducted for multiple categories, including Compartment, Essential Improvement, Optional Improvement, Additional Subject, Diploma Holder Re-appear, Special Chance, and other eligible categories as per board rules.The Board has issued detailed guidelines to ensure the smooth and malpractice-free conduct of examinations across all centres. Candidates appearing for the supplementary exams have been instructed to follow all examination rules strictly and maintain discipline throughout the process. All papers are being conducted in a single morning session from 8:45 AM to 12:00 PM.Strict instructions for fair examination conductHPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma has directed that examinations must be conducted in a fair and transparent manner across all centres. Candidates have been advised to avoid any form of unfair means, including cheating or use of unauthorised material. The Board has emphasised that strict monitoring arrangements have been put in place to ensure compliance with examination norms.Students have been urged to appear with self-confidence and maintain honesty during the examination process. The Board has reiterated that discipline and sincerity remain essential for academic progress and successful completion of examinations under the supplementary system.Admit card mandatory for entry into examination centresThe Board has uploaded admit cards for Matric and Class 12 (Regular) supplementary examinations on its official website, www.hpbose.org. Candidates are required to download their admit cards through the ‘Student Corner’, while schools can access and distribute them using the ‘School Login’ facility.Entry into examination centres is strictly dependent on verification of admit cards. Candidates must ensure that all details such as examination centre, subject details, and personal information are correctly printed. In case of discrepancies, students have been advised to contact the concerned authorities before the examination date.Candidates under the ‘Special Chance’ category have also been instructed to download their admit cards and verify their eligibility status before appearing for the examination.Examination schedule and reporting rulesThe supplementary examinations for the Matric (Regular) category are being conducted from July 3, 2026 to July 10, 2026. For Class 12 (Regular) candidates, the examinations will continue until July 16, 2026. All examinations are scheduled in the morning session and candidates are required to report well before the commencement time of 8:45 AM.Late entry into examination centres will not be permitted once the examination begins. Candidates have been instructed to carry their admit cards without fail and follow all instructions issued at the centre. The Board has also made it clear that compliance with reporting time and verification procedures is mandatory.Public cooperation and reporting mechanismHPBOSE has appealed to parents, guardians, and the general public to assist in maintaining the integrity of the examination process. If any instance of malpractice or irregularity is observed at examination centres, it should be reported immediately to the Board authorities.The Board has assured that all such information will be handled with complete confidentiality and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with regulations. This mechanism has been introduced to strengthen transparency and ensure fair conduct across all examination centres.Helplines issued for candidate assistanceTo support students during the examination period, HPBOSE has issued district-wise and category-wise helpline numbers. These helplines are intended to assist candidates with queries related to admit cards, examination centres, and schedules.Candidates have been advised to make use of these support facilities for any clarification required before or during the examination period. The Board has stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the supplementary examinations across Himachal Pradesh.
