Akhil Akkineni‘s latest release ‘Lenin’ has opened its theatrical run with a promising start at the box office. The action drama hit cinemas on Friday and registered a decent opening in India as well as overseas markets. The film features Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead.
Day 1 collections cross Rs 9 crore worldwide
According to Sacnilk, Lenin collected an estimated Rs 5.90 crore net in India on its opening day. The film achieved the figure from 2,028 shows across the country.The India gross collection reached Rs 6.73 crore. The India net total currently stands at Rs 5.90 crore.The film earned Rs 3 crore in overseas gross collections. This pushed the worldwide gross collection to Rs 9.73 crore on its opening day.
Telugu states contribute the biggest share
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerged as the biggest markets for Lenin. Together, the two states contributed Rs 6 crore to the film’s India gross collection on Day 1.Karnataka followed with a gross collection of Rs 65 lakhs. Tamil Nadu added Rs 3 lakhs while the remaining regions across India contributed Rs 5 lakhs.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu extends her support
‘Lenin’ also received encouragement from actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu.In her post she wrote, “Wishing #Lenin, @akkineniakhil and the whole team the very best.
