New Delhi: A 28-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death following a heated altercation over a minor dispute in northwest Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh on Friday evening. Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder.The deceased was identified as Sumit Kumar Jha, who worked at an export company.According to police, information regarding the admission of a man with stab injuries was received from Fortis Hospital in the early hours of Saturday. During the inquiry, officers learned that Jha had sustained the injuries during a confrontation near BC Block, Shalimar Bagh. A quarrel outside a liquor store reportedly caused the confrontation.A case was registered. Police said multiple teams were formed to trace the suspects. Investigators analysed CCTV footage from the area, examined technical evidence and worked on local intelligence inputs to identify the accused.Based on the investigation, the accused were identified as Saurabh and Sachin. The two were apprehended while allegedly attempting to flee, police said.During interrogation and subsequent searches, police recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack. Officers also found that both men have previous criminal involvement.
