TSLPRB Notification 2026: The Telangana government has granted approval to fill 5,000 vacancies in the police department through direct recruitment. The recruitment process will be conducted by the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB), according to government orders issued after reviewing staffing requirements.The approval was issued by the finance (HRM.VII) department following an assessment of personnel requirements under the administrative control of the Director General of Police (DGP). As per media reports, the government has directed the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) to obtain all necessary recruitment details from the home department and the DGP before issuing the recruitment notification and examination schedule at the earliest.Cadre-wise vacancies approvedAs per the government order, the sanctioned vacancies cover several ranks and specialised units within the police department. The recruitment includes 148 posts of sub-inspector (civil), 14 sub-inspector (Armed Reserve) posts, 12 reserve sub-inspector posts in the Telangana Special Police, and three sub-inspector posts in the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines.

In addition, 23 assistant sub-inspector posts have been approved for the Finger Print Bureau. The largest share of vacancies is for constables, with 3,697 civil constable posts and 1,052 Armed Reserve constable posts. The approved vacancies also include 24 constable posts in the Special Armed Reserve Central Police Lines, 20 constable (driver) posts and seven constable (mechanic) posts.Recruitment process to begin after verificationBefore issuing the recruitment notification, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board has been instructed to obtain cadre-wise vacancy details, roster points, eligibility qualifications and other recruitment-related particulars from the home department and the DGP.The government has directed that these details should be verified before the recruitment notification and examination schedule are released. It has asked the recruitment board to complete the process at the earliest to facilitate timely appointments.Home department directed to provide detailsThe government has also instructed the home department to furnish all necessary recruitment-related information without delay. This includes cadre-wise vacancy positions, reservation roster details, prescribed qualifications and other particulars required for the recruitment process.The submission of these details will enable the recruitment board to finalise the recruitment notification and examination schedule. Once the required information is received from the home department and the DGP, the Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board will proceed with the direct recruitment process for the approved 5,000 police vacancies across the notified cadres.
