Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva will be collaborating for the first time for their upcoming project. Since the announcement, there has been a lot of buzz regarding the project and if the latest reports are to be believed, the makers are opting to name the movie ‘Carpenter’.
Reported name of the film
According to a report by Gulte, it is suggested that the makers are considering naming the movie ‘Carpenter’. It is also said that the project will be a mass action drama flick and will have multiple commercial elements. In addition to it, the makers seem to believe the reported title will have a pan-India appeal and have a strong recall value, catering to Balakrishna’s star appeal. The report further suggests that the makers have registered the title.The pooja ceremony of the film, marking an official beginning to the project, is expected to take place on May 21. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.Further speaking about the project, the music will be composed by star musician Anirudh Ravichander known for his high-octane powerful music and energetic beats.
Vidya Bala in talks?
Earlier, the same publication also reported that Bollywood star Vidya Balan is set to be the leading lady of the film. The makers are currently busy with pre-production works and are expected to begin shooting soon.

The film was announced a few days ago as the production house took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle to share the news. In their post, the team shared a poster comprising the two Korata Siva and Nandamuri Balakrishna, with a tagline, “Power Meets Purpose Mass Becomes A Movement.”Speaking of the work front, Nandamuri Balakrishna was last seen in ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’. He is also working with director Gopichandh Malineni on ‘NBK111’.Meanwhile, Koratala Siva last directed Jr NTR starrer ‘Devara’, which didn’t meet its box office expectations upon its theatrical release and received a mixed response.
