UPTET Answer Key 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the UPTET Provisional Answer Key 2026 on its official website, allowing candidates to check the draft responses for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. The commission also activated the online objection facility on July 8, enabling candidates to report discrepancies in the provisional answer key.Candidates who appeared for the examination can download the answer key for their respective papers, compare their recorded responses and estimate their likely scores. The objection window will remain available until July 14, after which the commission will examine all representations before issuing the final answer key. The final version will be used for preparing the UPTET Result 2026.Answer key available for both papersThe provisional answer key has been published for candidates who appeared in both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates can download the relevant PDF, match their responses with the master answer key and calculate their expected marks before the declaration of results.To access the answer key, candidates need to visit the official UPESSC website, locate the answer key section, select the appropriate paper and download the PDF. They should compare answers according to their question booklet code, including Set A, B, C or D. Objection process open until July 14Candidates who identify any error in the provisional answer key can submit objections only through the online portal. Offline submissions sent through post, fax, email or any other mode will not be considered.To file an objection, candidates must log in using their registration number and date of birth, select the relevant examination details, identify the question they wish to challenge and upload supporting documents. The commission has asked candidates to provide evidence from recognised academic sources, including NCERT and SCERT textbooks, before submitting their claims. Candidates should also save the confirmation receipt generated after successful submission.Marking scheme and next stageEach correct answer carries one mark, while incorrect and unanswered questions receive no marks. There is no negative marking in the examination. The commission has also stated that scores will undergo a normalisation process because the examination was conducted across multiple shifts.The qualifying requirement remains 90 marks out of 150 for General category candidates and 82 marks for OBC, SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen candidates. After reviewing all objections, UPESSC will release the final answer key, followed by the announcement of the UPTET Result 2026. Qualified candidates will receive the UPTET Eligibility Certificate under the prescribed validity rules.
