Margao: GFP president Vijai Sardesai on Tuesday warned chief minister Pramod Sawant that if Gautam Khattar is not arrested before April 24, Sawant’s birthday, he would launch a public movement to unseat him.“If the CM doesn’t arrest him before his birthday, I will build a movement called ‘Goemche Projecho Avaz’ by bringing together all like-minded people. People will have to come out on the streets and agitate,” Sardesai said.The GFP president also demanded the immediate removal of protocol minister Mauvin Godinho from the cabinet, rejecting the CM’s defence that Godinho should have stopped Khattar from speaking. “In his address, Godinho appears to have endorsed what Khattar said, leave alone stopping him,” he said.He added, “Goa has seen several non-Christian chief ministers, but never has Goencho Saib been insulted in Goa by someone from outside. This happened only during Pramod Sawant’s tenure.”
